In Japanese people when they go to fat legs, they call it Daikon oroshi. The value of Daikon and the vitamin C that it has is best if it's prepared just before you're going to be eating it. Another Yakimi that I'm particularly enamored with is something called Myoga - a rhizome which resembles ginger.
