The character that parallels jesus more than any other in modern fiction is harry potter. An evil figure tries to kill him as an infant, just like herod wants to kill jesus. In order to be the saviour of his world he has to live a moral life, just like jesus does. He sacrifices himself to defeat the evil voldemore, the satan figure, just likejesus did. And fourthly, Harry potter rises from the dead, and his followers have to put their faith in him in order to ultimately defeat valdemore. Does this sound familiar?
