Had charles and ferdinand gathered their forces and made for constantinople, who knows, they might have been able to take it. I don't know whether that was a feasible option. But i can see a scenario under which suleman would have rushed back from persia and taken it back of him. That would have been one measure of victory in this contestto mastery of the world. And someone who certainly loses is ibrahim.
