Kara's story takes a remarkable turn when she steps in as a head chef at Heroes & Horses, run by Micah Fink. This experience became a crucial stepping stone in her life, leading her to embrace wildland firefighting, where she has just completed her first season on an engine team and now has aspirations to join a wildland helicopter attack team.
