The Comfort of Psalm 146
The comfort of this psalm is in its contrast between human transience and divine power. In Jesus, we see God the Son triumphing over sin and death with utter triumph and power. Yet equally, we see matchless love pouring out of heaven's heart. When perfect power meets perfect compassion, we are free to fall into the arms of the Lord. This is a God who can be counted on unflinchingly.
