Treatment of Mesostatic Disease of the Spine
Treatment for medistatic disease of the spine can be non operative or operative. Non operative management includes palutive care and radiation alone. Palutive care is indicated when the life expectancy is less than six months. Radiation alone may be indicated in patients who are not surgical candidates. Operative options include neralogic decompression, spinal stabilization and post operative radiation. The technique involves pre operative embalization, indicated in metastatic renal and thyroid cancer to the spine.
