University Administrators Don't Give Up on Alcohol
i'm convinced that that grant wouldn't have happened if we hadn't had a pub built on campus. Creativity, i think, crucially depends on alcohol. I do cite one study that is correlation, but it's taking advantage of a natural experiment. When prohibition gets imposed, patent applications go down 15%. And they don't rebound for three years. Ad, he thinks, easy start to take over the role that saloons did before prohibition.
