EDMC also filed for a Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Delaware in Spring 2018, claiming to have less than 50,000 assets and between $501 billion in debt. Students were given the option of transferring to other Dream Center schools or receiving a grant to an unaffiliated partner institution; if they left completely, Dream Center offered loan forgiveness. Just because there was some loan forgiveness doesn't mean it was nearly enough to cover these scammy educations.
