Where Is the Chief's Legitimacy Coming From?
The court didn't bother to tell us like why they didn't think that was the case. It's as if the chief imagines that people will be before it is legitimate. So, there is legal legitimacy in the sense that the court is doing things that sound in the register of legal decision-making and are based in law.
