When we talk about the revolution and changing this society as we know it, if we think of society right now, it's an hourglass. At the bottom, you have something that Asada Shakur calls a lowerarchy. That is every person of color by proximity to whiteness. And I think people think that the answer is to flip it. It should come from knowing that there's something communal in the exchange which keeps us alive.
