I think it's over a thousand pages, as you said, drawing on decades of research. What was the thing that initially drew you to this topic? There were really three, I think I'd take you through three moments that you could call light bulb moments in terms of the evolution of the ideas behind the book. The first moment came when I was really young, I mean, I'm now in a middle-aged guy, but this was just after I'd left university in the mid to late eighties.
