Why the Communist Manifesto Is Still Worth Reading

Why should people read the manifesto and why do people read it? I think sometimes it's sort of, the real Marx heads, there's sort of an implicit sense that it's like for college kids or something. It is rightly an incredibly powerful text. And it is not just a museum piece. So simply out of curiosity, I think it's worth looking at it. There are some clunky bits, but at its best, it's an astounding piece of work. The book became an increasingly important motivator to me in writing the book because so much of the discussion around it is so utterly bone-headed and stupid from its critics.
