Harry Thomas was shot twice by a Los Angeles police officer in 1927. A coroner's hearing heard that Thomas made no complaint of how he was handled only asking that he be hurried to the hospital. The corner Corners jury deliberated just 20 minutes before declaring the officers conduct was justified. In 1925 gangster Albert Marco pistol with an LA PD officer and was given a $50 fine and his gun back.
