The Myth of the White, Single Earning, Patriotic Family

I would tell a slightly longer story, it would not negate the story you've told. It would start with the displacement that we've talked about, of the myth of the white, christian, single earning, patriarchal household being under threat. And it would also start with a story of neo liberalism in which that household is and that myth is revived as the promise of a fully dregulated state.
