The Fascination With Acoustic Emissions
In 1995 the idea of looking at special markets with the same type of spectacle came quite naturally because of the wealth of data. So it came naturally as having a hammer, a new way of looking at the stars through a new telescope and wanting to test whether it could be useful. There is this phenomenon which I call now a slow maturation towards an instability where whereby a system goes to a crisis or exhibits a big crisis catastrophe crash whatever it is in different fields. Not out of the blue but through this progressive damage, let's say mechanical engineering,. also this progressive comparative behavior of many elements combining together with positive feedback and so on.
