One of the things that this guy hausman did when he re designed paris iss like the robert moses of paris, was to create a defensive perimeter. He wanted snipers to be able to shoot at mobs before they made it to the front doors of the cathedral. This thing gave am, i can't remember what the military term is for it, but a gilling zone,. im to take out mobs that were trying to go kill the cardinal or the archbishop or whatever.
