The Difference Between SOA and Microservices

The difference between SOA and microservices for me is this idea of them being a complete silo. Performance isn't always the reason these can fail, but when you're starting to do things like using messages and cues... I think it's a huge balance. Most applications actually aren't gated by performance. They're gated by size of team, technologies used, inconsistent requirements. With all these things that the 99% of the businesses in this country are trying to do, that have nothing to do with eking at performance or DevOps is trying to solve for us, right? Yeah.
