The housing bubble started in 1997 and peaked out in 2006, prices did. The dot com bubble kind of peaked out around 2000, 2001 and crashed. And it was a pretty big spot market crash. They don't cause anything like the problems for the housing bubble crash does. In fact, if you look at credit to the stock market, that not only moves up as values go up, but it comes down right with them.
