The Importance of Learning About Evolution
When I was a kid, I remember reading ahead in my science books and I would see the chapters on evolution and explaining through it. Always when it seemed like my teachers were getting close to it, they'd just skip over it. It's unfortunate because evolution should really be taught at the beginning of any biology course. Unfortunately, because of the sort of religious opposition to that theory, it is the only theory of biology that actually offends religious people.
