Hip Arthroscopy - The Most Common Causes of Failure
Unaddressed structural deformity and underlying osteoarthritis are the most common causes of failed hip arthroscopy. The most common cause of failure were residual femoral acetabular impingement in 68% of cases and acetabular dysplasia in 24%. While radiographic evaluation is important, it should always be paired with a detailed history and physical exam.
