What Scriptures Shape Your Thoughts?

In the book of Acts, you see a group of Christians that at the early onset, they were together. And then when persecution hit, they scattered. But as they're scattering though, they never lost sight of the mission. They existed in a climate and a culture that was opposed to their values but yet they flourished. The church had no business taking off like it did. We think today as American Christians that we need the government to uphold our values and promote us. Yet they didn't. That's a lesson to us that we need to keep doing what we've been doing.
