Abu Tharib's Coup d'Etat

Abu Tharib was a tribal leader in Mecca. He confronted his tribesmen and threatened to kill them if they didn't back down. This is what you call genuine bravery because he had no support whatsoever. The strength of his convictions won the day by the blessings of Allah Azawajal, that's all it was.
