The CIA's Role in the Jones Town Spyhunt
Some speculate that Jones' white night tests were deployed to uncover the spy. But just because he was paranoid didn't mean he wasn't correct. This theory claims that the CIA may not have installed an agent inside Jones Town, but that they did have one working at the Guyanese capital in Georgetown. At the time, Richard Dwyer served as the deputy chief of mission of the U.S. embassy to Guyana. Many believe that his job was a front and that he was actually working for the CIA as one of three of its agents in Georgetown.
