Are We Doomed With This Pandemic?

Why do you think the left and public health have been disarticulated over overtime? And what would it take to rearticulate them? I think part of it is the american left, in many ways, is pretty individualistic. But i think it's harder when there are questions that involve collective responsibility,. like an infectious disease pendemic.
