Norse or Viking Legacy in East Anglia?
Viking polities didn't last that long as separate political entities, at least in england. The the political entities that were set up by the vikings did last longer in whats now cotland. There are a lot of old norse words borrowed into english er and that the prominence of those is helped by the fact that one of the dialects most affected by old norse became very influential in the later middle ages. And so we can look at borrowings in place names such as hbrides or hebrides - these do survive in scotland too.
