Replication Failures - What's Critical and Critical in an Experiment?

In an old office, two executives looked over 56 papers on cancer that have been published in nature and other major journals. They found only six or seven were replicable; the rest they couldn't replicate the results. And they called that a dismal 11 % success rate. But i would challenge those execs to go back to ham jen and see if their success rate is much higher than 11%. Especially working at the very frontiers of cancer research, i think 11% is a potential bonanza.
