The battle of starlingrad is a battle that's been writen back extensively over the years, most famously by anthony beaver in the late 19 nineties. What i wanted to do was drill down and get very personal about the biggest battle in military history as we all know. It is a over a million combatants killed or woundedhuged, city destroyed. But i just wanted to focus on the battle for the heart of the city. And what i did was i really focused on two opposing elete divisions, the 70 first infantry division in the vermacht, and the thirteenth guards rifle division in the red army. There were other divisions neighbouring them in the vicinity
