Is Mark's Theory Able to Predict the Behavior of Large Populations?
There's a general realization that mark's theory hasn't seemed to be able to predict the behaviour of large populations. And generally whata. has provoked is a turn to mostly psychological theories of political motivation, according to which people are obviously not acting in their objective interests. But our argument is that this is really a kind of misstep. This is a wrong direction in which to take the analysis. We say it's important to recognize that in any actually existing modern society, contemporary society, almost any individual or group will have very complex set of interests.
