Is There Any Hope for a Way Out of This?
There was a ceasefire in 2021 when I was there, and then fighting resumed. By fall of last year, the Tigrayan forces had been nearly decimated. It's still shocking to see how long they did carry on with the inability to muster forces. The country is just much less stable than it was before the start of the war.
