Not fools as in unintelligent. Not evil. Not bad people. A fool, by definition here, is someone who lacks the desire or the ability to change their position. And when movement is impossible, argument becomes a waste of time, energy, and focus.

Brian unpacks the two types you'll encounter in business and life: the person emotionally attached to being right, and the person who simply doesn't have the capacity or experience to process a broader view. In both cases, logic won't land. Data won't save you. Volume won't fix it.

And here's the cost: emotional spikes, wasted hours, stalled progress, and reputational damage. Even if you "win" the argument, you lose momentum.
