Hippodamia's Disappointment
King Pelop's and his new wife Hippodamia were riding back from Pisa with Myrtleus, the charioteer who had helped them kill the king. He stopped off to get water because they were parched; when he came back she said that Myrtleus was making advances on her. She recoiled and screamed for Pelop's. But instead of saying anything, Pelop's kicked him square in the stomach: if a sharp kick to the vital organs from an epic Greek hero didn't kill him, the ocean below would. With his last breath, as he dropped below the water, he cursed Pelop's in all his descendants.
