What Do We Make of What Ran Sees in the Mirror of Arased?

Y.O. Scott: Ran sees himself as the victor, sort of hogwart's right? He's quitich captain, and he's like a head boy and and he has risen above in his family. And i'm wondering what we make of that. The thing that strikes me, and i'm still thinking about privilege because of the theme, is that ron embodies a number of those intersectional identities that we talked about. Yes, he's a man, yes he's white, but he comes from, you know, a poor home, so less class privilege. But he is pure blood, so some pure blood privilege, as it were, privilege, social privilege.
