Is It a Renaissance of the Early Muslim Way of Being?

I think what I am articulating is a renaissance of the early Muslim way of being, that to be a pious Muslim is an individual act. What this individual was doing was secretive, it was worshiping God at night quietly without being seen to be pious. Now, there are these very strong traditions that we have got to lean on in order to achieve what it means to be Muslim in the modern world. It's a renaissance rather than in any way for deforming or reforming Islam.
