The History of Antiques in Taiwan
The Bywin Collection has been in existence since 1975 and is the oldest showroom in Taiwan. Anything over 100 years old that hasn't been restored beyond 33% is considered an antique. Most people don't understand antiques are not that expensive if you compare to new furniture made of solid wood. People also think antiques are very ornate and won't fit with their modern furniture. They will ride up in Tamu, across from the Sherdong Elementary School and you'll see.
