I don't think that authoritarianism is something that's unique to any political group right nor left. We're okay giving up that level of personal autonomy to a corporation, but when somebody says something really gross or sexual and they broadcast it for the world to see? It seems like two birds of a feather to me, Heaton. My point is that companies have been on cancel culture long before it was a coined phrase.
