The Legend of Ramses the Second
There is a sense that this barrage of propaganda was so overwhelming in the case of Ramses the second. But then I suppose like all great rulers and particularly those with a streak of despotism his memory posthumously was was a little more contested shall we say. The correspondence that we have that survives suggests that they, the other great kings of the ancient world were also to an extent in awe of Ramses.
