The American Airlines Flight Was Forced to Return to an Ohio Airport After Its Engine Caught Fire
There are still thousands of U.S. citizens trapped in Sudan, like Mohammed Ahmed. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said at this point they aren't even contemplating putting American boots on the ground. A bird strike shortly after take-off sparked a fire, forcing pilots to make an emergency landing on one engine. Pilots reported more than 17,000 wildlife strikes in the US last year.
