The Rise of Late Round QBs

Just 25% of the quarterbacks last season who scored 18 points per game came from the late rounds. Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Josh Allen are all roughly second round picks this year. In 2019, for example, five quarterbacks went in the first seven rounds of a 12 team league; in 2022, we had 10. The more seasons where this happens, the higher the elite quarterbacks will get drafted following season.
