The Downbeat Manufacturing Report Is a Warning Sign of a Recession

The ISM manufacturing index ticked up to 46.4, but it's below the expansion level of 50. The Joltz job opening survey, slightly down, 9.58, missing a little bit to the downside. Construction spending up 0.5%. Strong residential lodging and even office space raising some eyebrows. Kathy Buschian says her recession call may need to be pushed into 2024.
