The Purification of the Levites

The water that is used to cleanse the Levites in Numbers 19 is made from the ashes of a red heifer. The order of the sequence here we haven't actually heard about this yet it hasn't been described in in in full yet so presumably everything is not exactly sequential sequential here. They are then presented as a wave offering from the sons of Israel that they may qualify to perform the service of the Lord so a wave offering is an offering that is lifted up and placed toward the altar but not actually burned.
