The accepted wisdom is often quite stupid. I think that economic forces rather than sort of moral or political forces have held sway for the last 20 years. It used to be a matter of that a board which notionally had an altruistic responsibility would run the sport and try to make a return out of it. Now it's a commercial inter... Yes. And actually there's actually a pretty reasonable argument that cricket boards should be taxed. But remember it's a line that you had some years ago where if does cricket exist to make money or does it make money to exist?
