The Early English Colonization of North America

English have no permanent settlements in North America, but they have been to the region. The first expedition in 1585 is made up of around 600 men. John White was an artist who essentially produces some of the first English images that we have of Native Americans in North America. And Thomas Harriet is a scientist and mathematician. They both on their return to England are very important in promoting English colonization more broadly.
