The Future Looks Like Chaos, I'm Not Particularly Optimistic
"I'm not particularly optimistic about the US's near term future," he says. "The one thing I am optimistic about is I've got a real split brain." He doesn't see all sorts of exogenous events that could come along and shake things up in various different ways. The idea that you have some grand theory of how things are going to go is just you diluting yourself to gain some sense of control.
