Is Containerization a Good Match?
The virtual desktop has been the sort of brute-fouched hammer on all of that. When it comes to desktops, my gut sense is that existing containerization technology might already be a good match for that. The overhead of an Alpine, the next distribution is under five megabytes. That's not a lot to pay for a desktop application. We've already got PWAs which to an end user feel like a run for a browser.
