Is It a Financial Crimes Statute?
There's been some consternation among judges that this, the statute, was not meant to reach this sort of activity. How stable do you think the legal landscape is for prosecutors on this? Have a couple hundred of these cases riding on this statutory interpretation question seems a little risky. I'm concerned about it. It does have a definition of proceeding that includes congressional proceedings. So i'm hopeful that that's clear enough. But no, it does. It seems quite risky.
