Joe and the Bandong Conference
The Bandong conference was Mao's big debut to the Western powers. 29 countries participated and it was announced the previous December. Joe had a lot of writing on this meeting. All these nations may have had a lot in common with respect to their colonial and imperialist past that is being on the wrong end of those two systems, but it was a decidedly non China friendly crowd.
