Tarte's Reputation for Not Catering to Diverse Content Creators
In 2018 Tarte released their Shape Tape Foundation, an amisly offering of 15 shades. Popular black beauty vloggers Jackie Aina and Alyssa Ashley reviewed the foundation in a video that went viral. The darkest shades were obviously not dark enough, and B, horrible examples of understanding black people's undertones. All of the darkest shades look practically orange on Jackie Aina, who is darker skinned.
