The Differences Between Anamorphic and Wide Angle Lenses

Anamorphic tends to have a further minimum focus, especially if you're using vintage glass. If you use diopters and you change that field of focus closer you can actually use that lens as a close up lens. It's fascinating like a Michael Mann watching Michael Mann's movies is what really opened my eyes to use in wide angle lenses as close up lenses.
