There was a drive from within the psychiatric profession itself that some of the patience would be better off if they were euthanized. And this debate within the profession rolled on through the twenties and into the early thirties, and it wasn't e adopted in the main stream at that point. When the nartes came to power, the debate was still being had, and there was still psychi est in the profession who had supported that idea.
