The Different Types of Skafoid Fractures
The Skafoid is a complex three-dimensional structure described as resembling a boat, skiff, and a twisted peanut. It articulates with the radius, lunate, trapezium, trapezoid, and cavitate. The blood supply to the Skafoid creates a vascular watershed area and subsequently a poor fracture healing environment.
